Military satellites over Ukraine

On 21 October 2026, working military satellites of 21 countries were predicted to pass over the places in Ukraine where UCDP recorded fighting this year: 574 passes by 380 satellites. China's made the most: 240 passes by 151 satellites. A country's satellites over itself are not counted.

UCDP recorded 57,464 deaths (best estimate) in 2,090 events of state-based armed conflict in Ukraine between 1 January 2026 and 1 September 2026.
